European federation of Digital Innovation Hubs (DigiFed)
The DigiFed project aimed to drive the digitalisation of European industry in the field of cyber-physical and embedded systems in all industrial applications. It supported the development of new products and innovative solutions that integrate physical and digital systems to address specific industrial challenges and meet societal and market needs.
In particular, it aimed to drive the adoption of digital technologies in small and medium-sized enterprises that are not based in the high-tech sector. DigiFed supported selected innovative companies through various innovative programmes and cooperation structures, the so-called "DigiFed Innovation Pathways". These "Pathways" also aimed to promote industrial cooperation across Europe and facilitate SMEs' access to new markets.
As partner in the project, Steinbeis Europa Zentrum was responsible for the generating a common understanding and facilitating knowledge sharing betwee DIHs, ensuring the sustainability of the network.
