Europe-wide access to key technologies for SMEs from the manufacturing industry (KET4CleanProduction)

Advanced manufacturing technologies and related key enabling technologies (KETs) can improve SMEs' production processes with regard to resource and energy efficiency. Clean production innovations have the potential to increase product quality and productivity and strengthen the competitiveness of SMEs.

However, access to KETs service providers varies greatly throughout Europe and opportunities are not fully exploited. To improve this situation, the project partners of the EU project KET4CleanProduction built an open innovation ecosystem that provides a one-stop-shop online platform for SMEs to access providers of key enabling technologies across Europe. The focus was placed on technologies for clean production.

Furthermore, the project initiated a dialogue with policy makers to address SMEs' needs for clean production technologies and reduce existing disparities in Europe.
