Ribler GmbHRibler GmbH receives funding for environmentally friendly adhesive technology

Ribler GmbH in Stuttgart is the world's only manufacturer of adhesives and adhesive binding machines with unique ecological features and certifications. The technology is environmentally friendly and energy-saving and is based on a water-based adhesive and a binding process without CO2 consumption. The entire binding process does not produce toxic gases or fumes, hazardous waste or storage problems. The binding process takes place without heating, pumping and partially without drying - premelter, glue circulation and exhaust air extraction are completely eliminated. Thanks to Ribler, even heavy, laminated and lacquered papers can be bound for the first time as lay flat bindings up to DIN A3 format and in hard covers in one production step. Based on this technology, Ribler produces binding machines for pads and calendars as well as books for hardcover and softcover in one operation.

The Steinbeis Europa Zentrum has supported Ribler for many years in the development and market launch of their innovation and has supported the SME in obtaining EU funding and European partnerships. In 2019, a proposal was submitted in the SME Instrument Phase 1 and has now been approved. Ribler received 50,000 euros for six months to develop a business model for the global marketing of its bookbinding technology.
