Sustainability and climate protection

Since 2023, we have been intensively engaged with the topic of climate protection and sustainability in connection with innovation. To ensure this is firmly anchored within the company, a dedicated team was established driving forward the planning and implementation of specific internal measures.

Our goals and motivation:

• Make our business practices sustainable and climate-neutral
• Contribute to a sustainable transformation in Europe
• Be a positive role model for our customers and create inspiration

A first important milestone was our participation in the KLIMAfit programme of the  Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector. The certificate for being a KLIMAfit company was awarded to us in November 2023 in Freiburg. We aim to contribute to greater sustainability and climate protection not only through our project activities but also by setting a good example with measures in our own company.

• We have prepared a greenhouse gas balance sheet and defined five measures to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions.
• Our focus is on three areas: energy & emissions, sustainable innovation, and human rights & labor rights.
• By switching to a green electricity provider, we now use green electricity from renewable energies at both our locations in Stuttgart and Karlsruhe.
• Mobile work from home is possible to reduce commuting to work and thus greenhouse gases caused by commuting.
• For business trips, we assess whether they can be made by train whenever possible.
• Plant-based milk alternatives are now a regular part of our kitchen offerings.
• The purchase of water dispensers replaces the delivery of water in glass bottles.
