Ultrashort Pulsed Laser large scale structuring with an agile, dexterous, efficient manufacturing platform (OPeraTIC)
Kicking off in October 2022, OPeraTIC brings together key actors in the field of photonics. The aim is to develop a new manufacturing platform, supporting the adoption of Ultrashort Pulsed Laser structuring at large scale. This platform will be developed through human-centred research, prototyping results, and disseminating the outcomes via a strategic outreach strategy.
Laser-based production has an important role to play in evolving the industry towards energy and resource efficient solutions. However, current opportunities are currently not being maximised on the shopfloor. This is where OPeraTIC will have the most impact: through creating a new platform to engage the sector stakeholders in the use of Ultrashort Pulsed Lasers, for the greening and increased efficiency of the industry.
In OPeraTIC Steinbeis Europa Zentrum undertakes the tasks of strategic communication and dissemination of the results and outcomes of the project, as well as the exploitation of these results and commercialization roadmapping of the innovations developed under the project to facilitate their access and disruption of markets.
