New Alliances for Bioeconomy and Precision Agriculture in the Danube Region (Dinamic Danube)

Agriculture in the Danube Region is facing several simultaneous challenges: ongoing structural change in rural areas, the migration of young people and skilled workers, increasing competitive pressure, and the need to operate more sustainably while adopting modern technologies. Small family farms, which make up a significant part of the regional economy, must strengthen their resilience to remain viable in the future.

The Interreg Danube Region project DINAMIC DANUBE addresses these challenges by developing practical education and mentoring programs, digital learning formats, and easily accessible technologies specifically for small family farms. By building a transnational network of agriculture, research, business, and policy actors, knowledge, methods, and experiences are shared across borders. The focus is on bioeconomy, precision agriculture, and the promotion of women in farming, with the aim of making farms future-proof, productive, and sustainable.

As a project partner, Steinbeis Europa Zentrum supports the coordination of a platform for resource-efficient and social innovation in the agricultural sector. Together with its partners, it develops a transnational strategy for sustainable agricultural practices in the Danube Region, supports digitalisation and knowledge transfer, and ensures that project results are effectively implemented in the long term.
