Building Social Acceptance for Biofuels and Carbon-Neutral Fuels in Europe - Webseminar

The EU projects CAPTUS, SUSTEPS, COCPIT and NIAGARA – part of the SUSTAFUELS Cluster – cordially invite you to an engaging online workshop. The open session will investigate the social acceptance of biofuels and carbon-neutral fuels, building on:

• a survey developed by CAPTUS (University of Genova), in collaboration with SUSTEPS, exploring technical audience’s perception and attitudes;
• ongoing work on social acceptance conducted within the projects COCPIT and NIAGARA;
• findings from the recent VTT Technical Research Center of Finland’s study on citizens perspectives, carried out under the REFOLUTION project.

The roundtable will bring together experts from the SUSTAFUELS Cluster to discuss how communication, transparency and local engagement can help overcome barriers and foster societal support for sustainable fuels, a cornerstone of Europe’s clean and competitive energy future.

Participants are encouraged to share questions and comments throughout the session. The event is open to everyone interested in alternative and sustainable energy carriers, the circular economy, or carbon capture and utilization.

As a project partner of CAPTUS, Steinbeis Europa Zentrum supports the international consortium of 17 participants with the communication and dissemination activities and findings in order to effectively convey the new knowledge to target groups in industry and the general public. Furthermore, Steinbeis Europa Zentrum is responsible for networking activities with other EU-funded projects and initiatives dealing with the same topics.
